Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Jaipur + Half-Day City Tour
Arrival at Jaipur. Check in at the hotel & after freshening up, we proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour. Today, we visit City Palace & Museum, Jantar Mantar (Observatory), and take a photo stop at Hawa Mahal. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 2: Jaipur Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing. First, we visit Amber Fort (11 km from the city), built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592. The fort is perched on a hill overlooking Maota Lake and can be reached by Jeep or on an elephant (at your own cost, big vehicles halt at the parking area only). Next, we visit Jaigarh Fort (15 km from the city), which sits 400 meters above Amber Fort and was built by Sawai Jai Singh III. One of its main attractions is the Jaivana Cannon, which was once the world's largest cannon on wheels. After this, we drive past Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds, followed by a visit to City Palace. The City Palace, located in the heart of Jaipur, was built by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. Key attractions include Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Maharani’s Palace, Shri Govind Dev Temple, and the City Palace Museum. We then take a short walk to Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jaipur.
Day 3: Jaipur to Jodhpur via Ajmer & Pushkar Sightseeing (9 hrs)
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and proceed to Jodhpur, with en-route visits to Ajmer and Pushkar. After lunch, we visit Ajmer, starting with the Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti, a revered Sufi shrine that attracts pilgrims from around the world. Next, we explore Adhai-Din-Ka-Jhonpra, a structure converted from a Sanskrit school into a mosque by a 12th-century Afghan conqueror. We also visit Ana Sagar Lake, built by King Anaji, and the nearby Daulat Bagh Gardens with its marble pavilion.
We then proceed to Pushkar, an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus. We visit the Brahma Temple, the world's only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, featuring a life-size four-armed idol of the deity. We then explore Pushkar Lake, a sacred site believed to have been formed when a lotus fell from Lord Brahma’s hands. The lake is surrounded by 500 temples, 52 palaces, and 52 bathing ghats. Afterward, we continue to Jodhpur, check in at the hotel, and stay overnight.
Day 4: Jodhpur to Kumbhalgarh (5 hrs)
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and proceed to Kumbhalgarh. We visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort, a Mewar fortress located in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The fort is famous for its massive walls, the second longest in the world after the Great Wall of China. Overnight stay in Kumbhalgarh.
Day 5: Kumbhalgarh - Nathdwara - Eklingji - Udaipur (3 hrs) / Kumbhalgarh - Chittorgarh - Eklingji - Udaipur (3 hrs)
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and visit Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, a significant pilgrimage site for Vaishnavs. We then proceed to Eklingji Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the ruling deity of Mewar. The Maharana of Mewar governs as his Dewan. Later in the evening, we reach Udaipur and stay overnight.
Day 6: Udaipur Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, we explore City Palace, situated on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola. Built in 1559 by Maharana Udai Mirza Singh, this architectural marvel combines Mughal and Rajasthani styles and is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. We also visit Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maids of Honour), a stunning garden built for the royal ladies of Mewar. In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time or an optional boat ride on Lake Pichola, sailing past Jag Mandir Island, Jag Niwas Island (Taj Lake Palace), and the City Palace. In the evening, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Udaipur Half-Day City Tour & Departure
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and proceed for a half-day city tour. We revisit City Palace, one of Rajasthan’s most renowned architectural wonders. The palace complex includes many gates known as "Pols", with Bara Pol (Great Gate) leading to the first courtyard. Passing through Tripolia (Triple Arched Gate), we see Toranas, where kings used to weigh themselves in gold and silver. The complex also includes Hathi Pol (Elephant Gate) and an arena where elephant fights were staged. After the tour, we transfer to Udaipur Airport for our return flight home.
